Karel Mosovsky

The career of Karel Mošovský, a graduate of South Bohemian hockey, was developing very promisingly. After starting in the youth categories in his native Písek, he was selected for the youth team of Motor České Budějovice. However, Karel did not warm up there for long and traveled to the junior competition in Canada, where he also won the Memorial Cup in the Regina Pets jersey.

This experience also helped him in the NHL draft, where he was selected in the 4th round by the Buffalo Sabres in 1999. A series of injuries and knee and shoulder surgeries slowed him down on the Rochester Americans farm, and unfortunately, he never earned an invitation to the best competition in the world.

After returning to the Czech ice rinks, he fought for a contract with the then extra league team Dukla Jihlava, but during the pre-season training period, a flying puck caused him a complicated concussion, which stopped Karl's efforts to find a place in professional hockey. After recovering, Karel played several more seasons in the 1st and 2nd leagues in his hometown of Písek.

After the birth of his son, he became actively involved in coaching children. He is listed as the head coach of the One Five team in the Raiders.
