Raiders One Six won the WTT U10 in Telč!

The popular and prestigious tournament in Telč at the end of this season, which is popular among young players, promised a good spectacle in a high-quality select competition. The organizer, Mr. Jaromír Pytlík, prepared new prizes for the boys, including beautiful commemorative rings, so the boys had more motivation. Raiders One Six were among the favorites of the tournament, but the game is already leveling off and we have already convinced ourselves several times in Telč that nothing is a given.

The group stage prepared us for the duels with West Warriors and Glabi Hockey. We managed all 4 matches and the group slowly started to play together. The team entered the tournament led by coach Petr Šafařovský and consisted of: Oliver Kaiseršot - Jan Černý, Daniel Burget, Tomáš Růžička, Ondřej Černý, Viggo Čech - Martin Kavan, Pavel Dudáček, Mikuláš Havran, Arthur Majdan, Daniel Kaplan, Lukáš Sysel, Edward Wrobel, Matěj Maškarinec, David Černý.

The match of truth - the quarter-finals, against the Czech Dragons, the team that had caused us the most problems during the season, but after a cautious start, the goals started to pour into the opponent's goal and the final result was a clear 8:0 win. The semi-finals were a bit more difficult. The Slovak select K&B Slovakia Stars were strong opponent, but when we survived a long 3on5 penalty kill when leading 3:2 and then added 2 goals, a well-deserved 7:3 win and a place in the final was born.

On paper, we were supposed to face the Ice Kings in the final. But the boys from Moravia did not make trought the quarterfinals this year, so they were not in the medals fight. Surprisingly, the Challengers made it to the final match of the tournament. Select from the southern part of Moravia, supplemented by several Slovak players. The match for the gold was beautiful, the game was played at a high pace, but when the opponent got within range, the Raiders had a reliable wall in goal - Oliver Kaiseršot. On the contrary, the Raiders' shooters pushed forward and skillfully guarded their lead towards the end. The total score of 6:2 was enough to fill the void and we were able to take home the cup, gold medals and HTA rings for winning the prestigious tournament.

The tournament directorate also chose the best goalkeeper - Oliver Kaiseršot and the best forward - Pavel Dudáček from our ranks.
