The defense of the gold medals at the Summer Talent Cup in Telč was not successful for the Raiders One Six team. The whole tournament was going well for the young Raiders players, they cut through the group like a knife through butter under the leadership of coach Tomáš Růžička. However, the second day was not so successful.

The opening match of the tournament was awaited by a strong HP Select team, which in the first match solidly overwhelmed the boys and the narrow 4:2 win did not come too smoothly, but the second "half" was according to the Raiders, who calmly walked to the second win with a score of 9:3. Before the classic Skills competition, One Six managed to easily defeat the West Warriors twice 8:2 and 14:0.

In the "Skills" event, goalkeeper Tomáš Cikánek shone in the penultimate discipline, winning the goalie competition in penalty shooting, and then Ondra Černý also took the floor, selling his great slide and winning the prize for the fastest skater!

Evening duels with Glabi Hockey closed the first day of play, and wins of 10:0 and 7:2 determined that we would face the Czech Dragons in the semi-finals of the tournament. After lunch, a rather tough duel with the Dragons brought an 8:6 win, but the performance was nowhere near as good as the first day of play.

The final in this category of the 2016 year becomes a regular duel with the select, which has gathered boys mainly from northern Moravia, but this time it was supplemented by very good players from Zlín. Ice Kings were ready to return the previous losses to us and they succeeded in doing so. Our players were completely surprised by the course of the match and certainly could not get used to the situation that the course of the match brought them. The deserved and high win of Ice Kings finally sent the cup and gold medals to Moravia. Even so, our fighters deserve thanks and especially a loss after a long time can send the boys in the right direction.
